May 29, 2019Safe City Cameras Leads to Identity of Shooting Suspect KOMO News Investigators then checked video from security cameras at
homes and businesses in the Twin Lakes neighborhood, and detectives were able
to positively identify the suspect's vehicle from multiple surveillance video
recordings. Police say that video evidence was the key. "We were able to locate a vehicle on those cameras and then narrowing
it down back into the residents. Using surveillance from neighbors is what
helped us put the vehicle right in that general vicinity at the time,"
said Schwan. Walker likes that the police were able to use city surveillance cameras to
help track down the suspect. "I think that's awesome and they should have them everywhere,"
she said.
